What motivated our project?

The lack of digitalization in construction sector is a very serious, systemic, and all too common problem. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that almost anything can be digitalized, most and foremost, education. Within this project, we use the generated momentum and take education one step closer to the digital future. We are planning to leverage of the European plan for boosting the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (shortly, AEC) productivity and develop the digital skills of the ideal candidate. Digital permits and automatic compliance checks for buildings and infrastructure, data-driven distributed industrial environment and new breakthrough technologies for technological sovereignty in construction are just a few examples of European initiatives directed towards the AEC industry. To support up, we have contacted a series of stakeholders in the AEC industry to get their support to sketch-up the requirements and identify the industry needs. 

Objective

The main objective of the course is to provide the AEC industry with graduates that have digital knowledge, skill, ambition, and motivation to take the industry to the digital age and for this we address the following topics:
