The event brought together important figures like Lorenzo Capobianco, president of the Architects Order of Naples, and Vincenzo Corvino, president of the Foundation of Architects Order of Naples, along with many other AEC professionals from local and regional industries.
The event commenced with institutional greetings from Lorenzo Capobianco and Vincenzo Corvino, setting a formal tone and underscoring the importance of collaboration between academia and the AEC industry. Raffaele Landolfo, a professor at the Università Degli Studi Federico II di Napoli, provided an introduction to the IBIMD project, explaining its objectives, scope, and the significant progress made. Following the introduction, Massimo Pica Ciamarra discussed the transitions involved in adopting BIM and digital technologies within the construction industry. This session highlighted the challenges and advancements in integrating these technologies into current practices. After a coffee break, Guido De Martino shared experiences from the pilot IBIMD course.
