The IBIMD project is dedicated to enhancing digital competencies within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry by developing and implementing a comprehensive Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digitalization competencies. This international collaboration between leading universities and industry experts has resulted in a curriculum that aligns with the European vision for industry digitalization.
Key outcomes of the project include the implementation of the BIM course across partner universities, the training of digitalization ambassadors, and the creation of multilingual course materials in English, Romanian, German, Portuguese, and Italian. Additionally, the project has produced a range of valuable resources, including detailed Survey Results that informed the course development, Success Stories highlighting the impact of BIM in real-world applications, and a series of Best Practices and Lessons Learned that provide guidance for effective BIM adoption in the AEC sector.
The project has also contributed to the academic community through the publication of Research Papers that explore various aspects of BIM and digitalization. To support ongoing education, a Course F.A.Q. has been developed, addressing common questions and providing guidance for students and educators alike.
All these resources, along with the course materials, are freely accessible on the website, supporting continuous learning and fostering innovation within the industry. These outcomes not only equip students and professionals with cutting-edge digital skills but also set a new benchmark for educational programs in digital construction.
